Meet Stevie Derstler, South Florida’s very own version of The Big Lebowski. Stevie’s day isn’t going so well, especially when he stumbles on an Invasion-of-the-Body-Snatchers style alien conspiracy.
When Stevie’s estranged Little Brother rescues him from an alien shakedown, he has an opportunity to join a resistance group. The group has developed a response to the mind controlling aliens that are taking over people’s brains. But Stevie isn’t interested in the resistance. Wouldn’t it be easier to just blaze a number at the beach?
Stevie has some hard thinking to do. Whether he joins the resistance or not, he’s going to have to remember his past, deal with his family's issues, and figure out how he became such a burnout. Just how and why did his life fall apart? Stevie’s unlikely connections and reluctant gumption might just hold the key to helping his friends and saving the world from an alien invasion. But first, will he be able to save himself?
